Updated: 2010 Film and Digital Media as Business Flight
NEW BUSINESS PROGRAM FOR FILM AND DIGITAL MEDIA MAKERS. North Coast Small Business Development Center is launching its first business training assistance program aimed at digital media and film makers looking to improve their business acumen and to increase the success of their enterprises.
This is an opportunity for local cinematographers, directors, screenwriters, editors, sound engineers, graphic arts/effects specialists and other film and digital media professionals to participate in a free, intensive business training, mentorship, and resource development program.

An informational meeting was held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 5:30 PM in the large conference room located at 520 E Street in Eureka.
All applicants will participate in an intake interview to determine business readiness and eligibility for the program.
Space is limited.

The Film and Digital Media Flight is a program of the North Coast Small Business Resource Center and is intended to assist low-income clients. Income qualification is part of the application process. This program is funded by the County of Humboldt through the Community Development Block Grant, Micro-Enterprise Fund.

- Attend 6 Industry-tailored workshops
- Attend 5 Business Basics Workshops
- Attend monthly business counseling sessions with an assigned business advisor
- Write a business plan with marketing strategy
- Design and creation of individual marketing materials
- Assigned readings from training Materials
- Participation in Group Show/Festival--Arcata Theater Lounge
